COURSE OF TREATMENT

COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATION

It all starts with a complimentary consultation with Dr Holtan and his team.  This visit includes imaging and helps you find out what your options are and what they will cost.  After an evaluation, Dr. Holtan will accurately describe what solutions will suit you best.  Preliminary consultations are used to plan and prepare for the procedure. This visit also includes advanced 3D imaging.  Thanks to this technology, treatment is mapped out ahead of time. It means less invasive surgery, and guaranteed results.

IMPRESSIONS AND PHOTOGRAPHS

In order for our advanced in-house laboratory to create a life-like and perfect fitting smile, preliminary information needs to be obtained.

Impressions allow your dentist to take accurate measurements of your mouth, including the shape and size of your gums and any remaining teeth. These measurements are used to create new teeth that fit snugly and comfortably in your mouth.

Impressions and photographs are important to help Dr. Holtan and the lab technicians to align your bite correctly and to create a smile that looks natural and complements your facial features.

THE DAY OF YOUR PROCEDURE

You will arrive to our office in comfortable clothes prepared for conscious sedation. Before the procedure, the patient is sedated to reduce pain and anxiety. Local anesthesia is then administered to freeze the surgical area.

Once you are comfortable, the dentist will begin your procedure. Some people need one or more extractions and/or bone grafting prior to implant placement.

Once the implant sites are ready, Dr. Holtan will surgically place four or more dental implants into the jawbone, at an angle to maximize contact and support. This is done very precisely using all of the information obtained at the initial consultation appointment using advanced 3D imaging software.

Once the implants are placed, a temporary prosthesis is attached to the dental implants during the same appointment. This allows the patient to leave the office with a full set of screw retained teeth the same day.

FOLLOW UPS

After you leave the day of your procedure with non-removable teeth, you will need to return for a few follow up appointments before proceeding with your permanent teeth to ensure the function and aesthetics is everything the patient desires.

FINAL TEETH

In as little as 12 weeks, the process of creating your final beautiful smile will begin.
